Cunard is synonymous with tradition and cruising on a grand scale. Nothing is too much trouble and the members of staff on board go out of their way to ensure that you have everything you need. The QE2 (Queen Elizabeth 2) is the most famous cruise ship in the world and she is joined by the Queen Mary 2 and the brand new Queen Victoria.
There is plenty of opportunity to dress up in formal attire and enjoy the gala evenings with Cunard. You will have your own reserved dining table but there are no first and second sittings as with some other cruise lines. You simply choose when you want to dine between 7 and 9pm.
Cunard cruises to destinations all over the world. Also, keeping with tradition, why not follow in the footsteps of the many celebrities and stars and take a transatlantic crossing between Southampton and New York!
Cunard's Enrichment Programme means that there are celebrity guest speakers covering general interest topics, such as history and politics, film and television, maritime history, the monarchy, musical theatre and so on. And, destination speakers talk about what there is to see in the various ports of call.
For golfers, there are golf nets in the sports centre on the QE2 and the Queen Mary 2 has virtual golf simulators. There will be a golf professional on board certain sailings on Queen Mary 2 in 2007 (contact Fairwaves for an update). Also, golfers will find that the staff on board will be happy to help and organise tee times for them.
